How long have you been with us?
Since 2005, so over 15 years.
What led you to this job and when did you become interested in the field?
I trained as a machine repairman but with the implementation of computer technology in manufacturing (CNC machines) I became interested in PCs. This was around 2000. Then I received a job offer and became a CNC operator/machinist.
Which aspect of the job do you enjoy the most?
What I enjoy most is having a high degree of independence which allows me to choose my own machinery and equipment.
What advice would you give those considering a similar job?
When writing a program, try to be independent, thoughtful, careful and consistent because even just a small mistake can cause major damage to material.
